Madman October Releases

Spring is here and so is the upcoming Madman release schedule!

First up is the hilarious NZ film, Hibiscus and Ruthless. Following the obedient Hibiscus as she tries to keep out of the dating pool during her last year at University, with the assistance of her friend Ruth.





In Darkness is next up, a revenge thriller staring Natalie Dormer and Emily Ratajkowski. A blind girl hears a murder from upstairs, sending her into the gritty underworld of London’s criminal empire.








Straight from their NZIFF screenings, Madman is happy to release Bombshell: The Hedy Lamarr Story. A biography on the Hollywood glamour icon with an incredible second job as an inventor which has blessed us with cell phone and Bluetooth technology (god bless you Hedy).








The deliciously acerbic comedy The Party from Sally Potter arrives on DVD and Digital this October. Following Janet as she reaches the crowning achievement of her political career and her husband Bill throws a surprising party.








The TV line up is just as good as the film one. Starting with Keeping Faith, an emotional thriller starting Broadchurch star Eve Myles that follows Faith as she discovers that her husband has been leading a double life.








Madman is also making everybody’s favourite 90s cult classic, Xena: Warrior Princess available in FULL. 5925 minutes of the iconic fantasy series to enjoy all over again.








Following the imaginative American entrepreneur Harry Golden Selfridge is Mr Selfridge. Looking at women as they discover a new sense of freedom in Selfridge’s empowering department store.








Madman is also offering some shows direct from streaming platforms! Including The Expanse (Season 2). Set hundreds of years in the future where humans have colonized the solar system where the tensions are reaching boiling point.








The Path (Season 1) which follows a controversial cult movement as they struggle with relationships, faith, and power. The series exceptionally melds together mystery-thriller, romance and mysticism.








Lastly, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt (Season 3). Following Kimmy, who lived underground in a doomsday cult for 15 years as she rebuilds her new life in New York city armed only with pure optimism and her 5th grade education (year 6/7).








As always, Anime is heating up, with plenty of box-sets and films coming out.

Fairy Tail collection, including Fairy Tail Zero follow Lucy Heartfilia as she runs away from home to the land of Fiore to become a mage and the epic adventures that she has.








The prequel to the smash hit anime series, No Game No Life is out! Taking place 6 thousand years before Sora and Shire were event a blink in the history of Disboard, war consumed the land. Amid the chaos is Riku, leading humanity towards tomorrow.







My Neighbour Totoro and Ponyo, everyone’s favourite friend is back for their 30th Anniversary! Two girls Satsuki and Mei move to a new home in the country where they discover unusual creatures including the forest guardian Totoro.
